I was suffering with excruciating pain in my back, a fever and having trouble with my waterworks during 2005/ I was diagnosed quickly as having a kidney infection and sent for Xrays which showed a kidney stone that may require sugery if the antibiotices didnt resolve the symptoms. After 2 lots of antibiotics my pain was recurring and I was booked in to have the surgery. I was told by Clare that The Bowen Technique might be able to help reduce if not resolve my symptoms. I had previously had Bowen with Clare for a golfing injury to my wrist which had been very successful so I decided to try it again. The morning after my first treatment for this problem, I woke up and my pain had gone!. The heat from my back was not there at all and I felt so much better. However about 4 days later a residual ache had started to return in the area so without waiting I went to see Clare again. She treated me two more times in quick succession on my affected kidney area. A week later there was no sign of the pain returning, my waterworks were normal again and I just felt as though the Bowen had resolved the problem. My appointment for the surgery came round two weeks later. I rang to say I was fine now, but they requested I attend for an xray to make sure. I did so and the doctor advised that there was no longer a stone visible and agreed that I would not require any surgery!. I have had no problems since then and am very grateful to Clare for her help including the dietary advice she gave me which I am sure will maintain healthy kidneys going forward. I would recommend Bowen to anyone and I certainly will use it as my first choice for any ailments in the future.
